I am Irina Stih

For more than 20 years I’ve dedicated myself to art and psychology. I was running an antique shop in Moscow, organised art exhibitions and today I implement creativity into art through my paintings and art-therapy workshops.

Biography

Before moving to Vienna, I graduated from the Institute of Art History in Moscow and then owned an art and antique gallery for 15 years.

I worked with famous modern artists and auction houses in London: Sothebys, Christies, Bonhams, MacDougalls, Artcurial in Paris. But today I a dedicate myself to become an artist and at the same time use creative process, like art therapy.

At the moment I teach people painting therapy. I have completed the Institute of Painting and Design Therapy in Vienna and continue my studies with an American artist Abby Brown. Also I take private lessons from Serafima Sazhina from Saint Petersburg and let myself being inspired by the paintings of the Austrian artist Arnulf Rainer.

I like to work with different techniques and materials, though my preferred to paint are watercolours and oils. Objects, nature, portraits are my specialisation. Lately I like to work with paper and wallpaper in the power of expressionism. Moreover, I have my own idea and view on the drawing process.
